3rd Generation Weird window problem...

In the wreck I had a week ago, i rearended a little mesh trailer at about 35+ mph...

My question involves my windows, before the wreck all my windows worked perfectly, but now the three passenger windows are unresponsive to any switch input (neither of the switches at each window). The driver window still works fine. Any suggestions as to what is wrong?

Did you hit the window lock button?

sounds like that to me, but if that's not the problem then I can only assume that the switch was broken in the crash, perhaps shorting out in a way to activate it. I don't think anything else would make only those windows not work.

Thanks, I feel kinda stupid right now, I didn't really check that before because it was in the same position as before, the unlocked position, but they were locked. I played with it for a few minutes and it finally unlocked. So I am good now, thanks for the quick replies and the lack of rude comments like some people offer when someone asks a question like that.

Now, does anyone know why a window would only roll down two inches or so and then stop? It then works again five minutes later, but I have to roll it down in increments like that. Then I have to do the same to get it back up. It took me half of my one hour commute to get it down and back up again...

That's a classic...it's your master switch in the driver door.

There's a sticky in the DIY. Instead of being simple switches, the rockers push on small contacts that lose their springness with time.

I also heard toyota still sells the module for a ridiculously high price.

good luck...it's a tricky one!

What is the window control unit? Could this be a sign of a dying window motor by any chance?
