Where does this bracket go?

I replaced the valve cover gaskets on my 2000 Sienna, which has the same engine as the Camry (1MZ-FE). Don't laugh (too hard), but I'm trying to figure out what a given bracket is supposed to connect to, and I have an open bolt hole on the transmission that I swear I don't remember taking anything out of, but it just looks there should be something in it. (The two could actually be related, but I can't figure out how.) Here's a picture of the bracket (there's a silhouette around it.) Also in the photo is an arrow pointing down to where the mysterious bolt hole is. This photo is taken with the front valve cover off, the air filter system off, and is on the left side of the engine (left from the back, right as you're facing it.)

Can someone help me (maybe with their own photo) figure out what this brace connects to? Also, please take a look at the top of your transmission, about 3 inches out from the fly wheel, towards the back of the engine, and look for a 8-10mm bolt (or bolt hole) all by itself that on the top of the tranny.

Thanks in advance for any help.

hmm

Kind of a bad pic of the bracket. That wouldn't be a support for the air-box would it? Or a cable stay for the throttle or cruise cable? I wouldn't sweat the hole in the head that looks like it is missing a bolt. Just like any other car company there are always bolt holes in the ends of the heads that are unused do to differences in bracketry or other clips clamps etc. year to year.

That looks like a cable or hose 'stay' as mentioned above, just to keep the hose or cable from flapping around wen you drive.
