4th Generation grr door lock problems >:O

so my dad was messing with the camry (2000 LE)
no idea what he did
said he just pulled out and put back in fuses to see if any were blown

anyways now my door locks are all messed up and the remote doesnt work.

EX: I have to have all the doors closed and the car on in order to lock all the doors with the side door button. If one door is open and I press the button to lock, all the doors lock and suddenly unlock. And if the car is off, nothing happens.

Also if i have one door open and i manually lock it, all the doors unlock

=(
any ideas whats wrong?

i took a look at the reprogramming thread for gen 4's

under 2000, 4.5 it it says
for the steps

2)Insert key and remove(do not turn)
3)Lock and unlock doors with button on drivers door 5 times(1 sec intervals)

situation with me is that the button doesn't work unless the car is turned on

i have the same exact problem, i was putting in a new dome light bulb and it stopped working so figured a fuse blew, i pulled off the change holder next to the steering wheel to check those fuses and i pulled out the one that said door and it was fine then under the hood i found the dome one and saw it was blown, but now i have the problem that if the car isnt on the locks dont work and all the other problems you have, im gonna go replae the dome fuse and check that door fuse again. i'll write back in a few.
