4th Generation Feedback on these products please

Iv decided to pamper my gen 4 v6 with an intake and muffler to add a bit of rumble.

I see most of you have a Secret Weapon R intake:
http://weapon-r.com/english/index.ph...oducts_id=5337

And i was wondering if its worth the money. Fits correctly and will it add a bit of power and noise from the engine? Basically i dont want it to cause more problems than its worth.

Secondly i see most of you also use a magnaflow muffler. (i don't know what would fit so if anyone could link me one, that would be great)

Obviously im going to have to take it to a shop to get welded on but i don't want anything that's going to be too loud (you know the ones, its an old shitbox yet you can here it in a car park from inside the store.)

Anyway i await your feedback

Your not going to get any noticeable power. Maybe 2hp. Yes, you'll get more noise. But for $200, I'd spend it on something else. The only reason I have an Intake (cost me around $70 to make) is because I need onefor the Supercharger.

youll get no power but the sound is great. the V6 with even an intake sounds great. and with even a generic muffler it sounds awesome. if your not thinkin performance in the future then id stick with the cheapest intake(even home built) and a generic muffler of your choice.

This is a link to generic piping you can use from the TB to the Air Filter.

http://www.sfxperformance.com/parts/SPT8219.htm

You'd also need a MAF adaptor for the V6, spectre makes those as well.

Go to autozone or kragen for the pipes and such... BUT for the filter I wouldnt use spectre! K&N, Injen, AEM, and several others all make very good quality filters.

And what is this BS in AUS about turbo and s/c'd cars? Do they realize some cars come stock with those?

Also how the hell do they check? Emissions or somethin? UGH!

Well from my understanding there is a blacklist of cars that p platers cannot drive. ALso for you to drive your car it must be insured and you wont get insurance under 25 with a turbo or sc car. it sucks as if i did supercharge my camry id probs be the only one in the state.

Anyway cheers for the feedback. Id prefer to get a premade intake as it seems like alot less work

A lot less work?

Step 1 - take out the stock intake

Step 2 - put in the aftermarket intake

DONE!

OKAY! After a decent search I found what you're lookin for....

#1 the intake pipe kit

http://store.summitracing.com/partde...5&autoview=sku

#2 The MAF adapter

http://www.jegs.com/i/Spectre/865/81403/10002/-1

And... #3 miscallaneous parts if you want to customize it further.

http://www.jegs.com/p/Spectre/769283/10002/-1

After that go for a filter, i highly reccomend higher quality than spectre, but if you want to save a little cash...

http://store.summitracing.com/egnsea...ku&Nao=0#rstop

After that look up some Cold Air intake, or Short Ram Intake DIY's here and you're good to go

Your a legend. Probs going to go with a K&N filter as i hear alot of people like those. Mate you have done a great job with helping me out. owe you one.

As its a 4inch tube id need a filter like this:http://store.summitracing.com/partde...5&autoview=sku

4in tube requires 4in inlet. Seems pretty straight forward but i jsut want to double check

^ You only need a 3". 4" is overkill, lol.

Read the specs wrong, thought it was a 4inch tube.
