3rd Generation New Radiator In but Cap Smokes.......???.....Info

Whats going my fellow TN Members.....Its been a while since Ive talked 2 you guys.......This is the story........

So Sunday I changed my Radiator.......why you ask because it was falling the fuck apart.....it was very bad....i mean very bad.....

So I replaced it using the DIY on here........*I am going to redo this DIY because there were some things people need to know that were not stated on the one posted* anyways........so after about 5 to 6 hours later......(because I wanted to make sure it was perfect).......the new one was in.......the fluid was replenished and the car ran well..........but then....duhn duhn duhn...........like always something happened........I noticed smoking from the radiator cap after driving for about 15 minutes.......so I let the car completely cool down.....and I checked the fluid level.......I topped it off (barely) and figured it just needed that.......so then I drove home and......duhn duhn duhn.......cap was smoking again.....WTF

The thing is I checked and cleaned the cap before I put it on the new radiator.......I also made sure every hose was properly connected and clamp was on.......I saw no leaks and it looked perfect (cuz im so awesome....) but WTF would it be smoking for.......?......im thinking maybe cuz the rad is new and is getting used 2 being hot for the first time.......???.....any imput.......?

If there's something missing from it, you should either say what it is or post a reply to the DIY. You won't be re-doing the one posted but your free to do your own if you want. Evaporating coolant can look like smoke. If you spilled some coolant while filling it, it will take some time to evaporate.
