Hey guys, what's the difference ( if any ) between the LE "sport" package and the SE, besides the mirrors and back panel? Is the suspension the same, just the trim level is nicer?
I've searched - couldn't find any info on what the sport package consists of. Yesterday I saw an LE SPORT with a V6/5 speed in a parking lot. Even left an offer to buy it on the windshield. Never seen another, and it's probably not a swap - it didn't look modded.
I thought only the DX and SE could get 5 speeds. What's up with this thing, is it special order?
thats not a real model, at least not here in the US. the ONLY V6 5 speed avalible in the gen3 was the 92-93 SE. its possible theat in other markets they simply offered an LE sport instead of an SE. but teh SE had the upgraded suspension and transmissions.

Thanks for the quick reply! I think it's a factory package 'cause the sport and v6 badges looked original, ( actually, they looked just like your sig, but LE and SPORT instead ) and I've seen a few other sports around and on craigslist, but only this one with a 5 speed...
i guess. i mean id be willing to bet theres not much differance between this "sport" model and the SE we have here. now the question i have is do you have SE's there? and what are they equipt with.
We do have SEs here too. Once in a while they show up on craigslist, but not often. They seem to be the same as USDM - black mirrors, black back panel, v6. All I've seen have been slowmatics...
Thanks ASG14! The seats were like corduroy. Different from my LE, but I've seen them in other LEs too. Door panels looked normal. It also had a sunroof. Did USDM SEs have sunroofs?
You guys did seem to get better cars there then we did.
The following pic is the US SE only interior. All SE's with cloth (Leather I think were perforated) looked like the pic below. And no other trims had the style.

Your interior is different. The corduroy material looked similar to yours, but the stripes ran front-to-back instead of side-to-side like yours do. Weird, huh? Sorry for no pics, but I had no way to take any, and when I went back later it was gone.
If they call me back and accept a reasonable price for it, then I'll be posting pics of it here...
5-speed parts are easy to find. shit, there is 2 at 5-speed Gen 3's at the junkyard I go to, lol. And there was one of the pick and pull in Florida I went to a couple weeks ago. All the parts from a 5SFE 5-speed work except the tranny.

^ You guys are lucky to have so many 5 speeds there. Here, I've never seen 1 parted out privately, and only 1 in the cheap self-serve wreckers - picked clean. The expensive wreckers probably have them, but if I use those rip-off artists I could buy a car for cheaper than the swap. No joke. They seem to use the pull-price-out-of-their-ass-50-75% of new cost rule. 50% cost is a good day - if he got laid last night...
If I were close to you I'd order the stuff from your wreckers, but shipping to here would kill me.
