3rd & 4th Generation (1992–1996 & 1997–2001)Toyota Camry Discussion for years: 1992-1996 & 1997-2001
Topics of discussion range from fuel economy, safety, modifications, performance all involving America's favorite family car, the Toyota Camry.
Was driving home from playing cards tonight @ my friends house, and a baby deer jumped out in front of me but I was able to stop. I was going real slow after that and in about 50 yards another jumped in front but I wasn't as lucky. I was only going 20 or so, but it looks like I'll need a new bumper and corner headlight. The fender can be pulled out, it's not that badly hit.
Where would be the cheapest place to get a painted bumper? Ebay is around $245 shipped, and I already picked up a corner signal light for $19 shipped off eBay (here)
While I at it what's my best choice for fog lights? I don't want to spend a lot so the Aurora ones are probably out unless I can get them cheap.

Unfortunately all of those used ones in the NY area are very far from me. I'm in the southern part of the state just north of NYC.
The black plastic piece behind the headlights that holds the headlights in place is destroyed also. Is it possible to buy that piece w/o buying a new headlight assembly?
I may seriously crazy glue the bumper back together, pull the fender out, and slap on the new corner piece that I bought and call it a day.
^ Dude, are you kidding? You won;t drive more then 15 mins to buy the bumper from a junkyard? Come on, I drove to Massapeque to get a bumper and I;m another 30 minutes farther then you are.....
Just get it from ebay then.

The CLOSEST junkyard to me that has a bumper is 2 hours away dude. Hunts point doesnt have it, I called them up.
Best bet is going to Corona...cross over the Throgs Neck and get off @ SheaStadium/Citi Field, I payed 250 for a 92 GLI bumper where I was being quoted everywhere else @least 1200.

Thanks for all the info guys. It looks like I'll order the painted / shipped bumper for $245. By the time I get one from the junk yard and get it painted, it will be well over that. Plus the one on eBay is brand new.
Why did you smack a deer? Was it talking shit about your mother?
Obviously if you had taken the high road, that deer would not have come and vandalized your car later. I hope you press charges on him for the damage though.
