3rd & 4th Generation (1992–1996 & 1997–2001)Toyota Camry Discussion for years: 1992-1996 & 1997-2001
Topics of discussion range from fuel economy, safety, modifications, performance all involving America's favorite family car, the Toyota Camry.
There should be a link to the Sylvania bulb fitment guide on superbrightleds.com, otherwise you can Google for it. It's got ALL the bulbs that fit your car. The license plate bulbs are 168/194. I decided on the 5LED wide angle bulb in cool white for the license plate lights and warm white for the parking lights.

to islandboy, what u mean the 5led? Were u revering to the brightness? Is there a 4?
Wide angle mean the 360 degree ones?
Sorry for the questions, im new to all this. Think u could link me directly to the single 4 brightness level ones. Wide angle is not necessary. I will be needing two of them in a cool white.
Toyota camry 2001.
mine also used the same wleds (168/194) as yours I think.
^ LEDS come in different form factor if you wanna call them that. SMT is called Surface Mount Technology. The LED does not protrude and is mounted flat. It has a light output of almost 180 degrees, so that provides good lighting.
The link I provided for those leds are perfect for licence plates since it was designed to shoot the light downwards. When you remove the plastic housing to replace the led you will see what I mean. In comparison to the flank from superbrightleds the 6 SMT are scattered everywhere (left right top) so there is no concentration of light like the one from V-LEDS
