IIRC you aussies still rock the 3vz, which is a pretty good NA tuning motor. there are a few guys who have gotten some descent NA power from them. things liek P&P, tuning, Y-pipe and even nitrous. but as with most of these motors...unless you go FI your kinda hosed.

personally I'd say N20 might be the best bang for the buck IMO, P&P heads, MT swap, and a Y pipe, aside from the FI is the only REAL gains

Nitrous is illegal for any car that is to be used on public roads here in AUS.

Shame on the car restrictions while on provisional license You could try to make a sleeper by having no obvious indication of FI(forced induction) i.e. no BOV, paint CAI/intake piping black, cover turbo with heatshield, no obvious intercooler or something along the lines of that..... They wouldn't suspect a Camry of being turbo'ed Unless you're driving it like you stole it.

it is here too. but its MUCH easier to hide then a turbo system period and can be easily removed if the car needs to be inspected. plus nitrous makes no noise liek a BOV or SC whine.
