4th Generation Wiper blades

Has anyone used a different size set of wipers on the forth gen Camrys? The wipers I found aren't avail of in 21" and 19" like the factory but can be ordered in 22" and 18" sizes.....but I don't want to spend the money on ordering just to be disappointed if it won't work. Does anyone have any imput?

Why not just use other blades in the correct size?

But if you really MUST have those wrong-size blades why not do this to see if they'll fit:

Wet windshield. Cycle wipers once. Measure the distance from the edge of the wiped area to the edge of the glass. If you've got 1/2" of extra space on every side of the wiped area, then they should fit.

Why must I? Its an OCD. My ICONS are too bulky looking and the PIAA Forzas have a nice sleek low profile design similar to the ones on the late model Camrys. But yeah, I will try that if I just must have them. I am researching to see if anyone else makes a good blade in a similar design that is the correct size. Thanks a lot though. lol.

So, is there a difference between the ES300 windshield clearance and that of a Camry? The ES300 requires the 22" and 18" blades I want to use.

I have noticed that with my ICONS....it doesn't make good contact the last 4 inches of windshield. I think going to the ES300 size may solve that. I have check and the windshields are identical.

Yep, I've got the ICONs in the recommended 21"/19" size in our 2000. As tundra2287 noticed, the passenger side is too long and will not conform to the curve of the windshield. Given the choice, go with 18" for the passenger side.
