3rd Generation Newbie strut/spring questions

Well, with spring around the corner looking toward getting my springs and struts done as they badly need replacing.

I've pretty much decided to go H&R springs, and have a couple places that I can look at getting from up here. Now, with struts, I'm still undecided, but it's either going to be KYB's or tokicos.

Now, recently I've seen the tokicos on ebay, some with good shipping prices to north of the border. That being said, I would still have to see what prices I can get around here, but what is a good price for a complete set of tokicos be? Need to save a few bucks where I can in getting them.

Now once I get my springs and struts, what else would I be needing in installing them? and what am I probably looking cost wise?

TIA

hmm

Here is where I bought my Tokico's. Best price including shipping that I could find. Good feedback too. Gonna have to cut and paste the link.

i have H&Rs on tokicos. and i love them. agressive look(if ya like the raked look). but the shocks are nice and stiff and make for great handeling. eyeball96 had H&Rs with KYBs...if he doesnt post up hit mim up for his take on that setup. KYBs are softer...close to OEM but ate good with aftermarket springs.

Thanks. Thats the seller on ebay I was looking at. Shipping to up here is pretty cheap.

I've pretty much decided on the H&R spring, but been going back and forth on the struts. Have some time to think about it as I'm not planning on getting them done until spring when it warms up. Other than the struts and springs, what else will I have to replace, or can I use existing? Have never taken one apart as of yet so not sure how it all goes together, or what other parts are in there that'll be needed or replaced. Also debating whether to do myself, which I've never done, or go to my mechanic. Just don't want to run into problems if I do them myself.

Right now, my back springs are sagged so it looks lowered but it isn't, and the front drivers strut I think is on it's way out. Roads haven't been kind to it.

Having owned and drove both set ups, I'd go with the tokicos for sure....as a matter of fact I plan on replacing the KYB's as soon as I have the funds.
