3rd Generation Photoshop Request!

Thought i'd go ahead and start a new thread for this. Original thread is here: Project: Appearance Improvement (lots of pic whoring)

Can anyone photoshop the stock hubcaps on my '96 to gold to match the logos? they're hand painted, so here's the pics.

there's the emblems for color reference. now, can we apply that color onto the hubcaps?

thank you!

im not one to do things liek this often(post in opposition to the OP's request), but your tryin to improve the apperance and doin that just wont. you can find some cheap OEM wheels at a junkyard for dirt cheap that would look better then that. sorry for makin a dick reply.

I did it real quick using the color you gave, so its not great but it'll give you an idea. Personally I'm not a fan, and if you did want to go gold.

I'd use a darker gold on the rims than the color on the letters. Also, it doesn't look like you sanded the letters or primed them, which would explain the peeling. To paint the rims right I would clean them with solvent, sand, clean again, prime, paint, and then seal, with a few layers of each.

If I can remember correctly, I was using some type of paint that bonds to metal (the silver logos do have a metal exterior) ...ionic properties or something... wanted to try it out. It was actually doing pretty good for about a year or so, even with me using a pressure washer on them. That actually came off the C when I deliberately tryed to scratch it off. Dumb. I appreciate the photoshop, by the way.

thoes are long gone..i put them on my 96 before the wrecker dragged it away. but the gen1 solara wheels were exactly the same. as were i think the gen3 XLE wheels(not V6 XLE, the 4cyl one).

Ahh, while scratching it off will have a similar effect to peeling haha. As I said not a great job, but it gives you an idea. Good luck

ahha i figured they were gone. oh well. did some quick poking around.

these were on various XLE and LE trims.

these were specific to the SE only. that's what i'm after.

a few of the solara have these...which match the gen3 coupe. theyre not bad either.

honestly, i may just weight and by some 17" eneki ev5's in bronze.

these are on XLE V6 models ONLY.

these were specific to the SE only. that's what i'm after.

these are 92-93 SE wheels

a few of the solara have these...which match the gen3 coupe. theyre not bad either.

not a few..these were one of the only avalible alloy wheels for the gen1 solara. they were also on the gen3 V6 coupes. as well as gen3 XLE 4cyls

given some wheels were upgradable but very few paid the crazy amount to upgrade to any of these from what was on teh car stock. personally i think the 17s you have picked are better mostly because the mid 90's toyota wheels were notorious for flaking and fading. keep in mind, if ya want gold or bronze wheels...just find a style you like then look for ANY color you can on craigs list or somthin then paint them.

I swear sometimes i think that if a gave you the resources, you could build a gen3 camry from scratch. thanks for the info/corrections.
