3rd & 4th Generation (1992–1996 & 1997–2001)Toyota Camry Discussion for years: 1992-1996 & 1997-2001
Topics of discussion range from fuel economy, safety, modifications, performance all involving America's favorite family car, the Toyota Camry.
Is there a site from which I can download the owners manual for my car. 94 Camry DX. There is an owners section on the Toyota site. I registered for it but cannot get on. Anywhere else I can download one.
Appreciate the linksbut that appears to be for repair manuals. What I am after is the owner's manual that came in the glove box of the car originally. Ford offers them for free on one of their sites. I am surprised Toyota does not do this.
I've always wondered how these manuals get separated from the car. They serve no purpose unless they are with the car. Anyhow, I just wanted to have one for the maintenance schedules, fluid capaities, etc.
Most of what I own are Fords. Ford offers the owner's manual as a free download and they go quite a ways back. I wanted to know if Toyota had such a thing. I found the Toyota Owner's section on the Toyota site that is supposed to allow you to download the owner's manuals. I registered for this site and they acknowledged my registration but for some reason I am not able to access it.
I want an owners manual because I do not like driving around without it in the glovebox. It's hard to know what information I want from it since I do not know what information is in it.
I am not real interested in paying $12.50 + shipping for one.
Yeah, I registered there too. You have to add your vehicle in order to see the manual. But they only offer 1996 to newer. Says to contact your local dealership for any older than 1996.

Yeah, I registered there too, but I think something is missing from the site for the Owner's Manuals. It says to use the search below, but there is no search below....lol.
Appreciate you letting me know that. No I know it's not just me. I may try to give them a call on Monday and see if I can round one up that way. Because of some of the safety features on the car and warnings regarding certain components like the airbags, tire pressure they may be required to (or choose to) provide them upon request. Won't know unless I ask I suppose.
I did read Holmes. Buy a manual if you need one. If you can't figure out the features without one, you prolly need to buy it. Hello?? Download? Classy.
The manual contains quite a bit of information. Things like fluid capacities, correct fluid types, etc. that are good to have handy. The owners manual serves as a good quick reference for this information. My experience with other manufacturers was that they offered these free as downloads and I thought that perhaps Toyota might as well. Further, I would like to have one now, not in a week or so. I was posting in search of help, knowledge, etc. - not sarcasm. I apprecaite the link you provided to the ebay listing, I may yet go that route.
Understood. Just another thought, for fluid capacities and types, etc., Haynes has a lot of that info in their manuals as well, available in most parts stores. About $15.
I bought the Haynes manual and it's helpful to a degree but I do not always trust them to have correct information epecially if something changed during the years that the book is intendd to cover. I also downloaded the Toyota Service Manual from a link I found on here, It's a great document but cumbersome to be looking through for simplistic information.
