gen 3 camry

dont really have a specific question im just new to the board and wanted to say whats up. i have a 94 toyota camry and i want to start fixing it up a little but theres not that many aftermarket parts for it (correct me if im wrong)


ps can someone tell me what the ect button next to park means and is it normal that when i first press the brake a little light pops up on the dash of a car with its back lights on but it doesnt go away... thanks

welcome to the forums

the ect button changes the point at which the transmission shifts. when its down and the little "pwr" lights up in your dashboard, it will shift at a higher rpm, and the gas pedal is a little more responsive. as to whether the later shift point gives actual speed performance, its still under some debate here: http://www.toyotanation.com/showthre...threadid=28605
