4th Generation preparing to replace struts

I just bought a pair of quick struts for the front of my wife's Camry. They look like a simple swap- two bolts on the bottom, three at the top, and a sway link in the midde. It looks like it should take less than an hour per side, a quick alignment, and then done! Is it really this simple or is there a problem I am overlooking?

I won't have to deal with coil spring issues- the quick struts come all assembled. I had planned to buy the individual parts thinking they would be cheaper, but to buy the struts, tower bearings, bellows, insulators, etc. actually turned out to be somewhat more expensive, even with using my old springs.

Yes, it is that easy. I just did mine about 2 weeks ago and it took about 1 1/2 hrs. for the total job. I haven't done the alignment yet, I am waiting until the front settles a little. With the new struts and springs, the front sets a little higher at first but it is settling some now.

Nice! I guess I'll have to put my pickup tires on the back for a while to keep the car level. I'm used to working on older vehicles, so I never quite know what I'm getting into with these "modern" rigs.

I have never heard of "quick struts". Where did you get them? My 99 has the rattle at the top of the struts. Will these take care of that?
Thanks
Keith

You NEED a breaker bar.

The Sway bat links are the only part that may cause you an issue. Drench them in PB Blaster starting several days before you do the work.

I believe that it is OEM height or maybe even a little higher when you first put them on.

I guess, I'm not sure what the oem height is ???? I was just going by the look, it looks like it is a little higher then it was new but it's really kind of hard to remember. I also changed the sway bar links and bushings on the front. Now all that is left is to go ahead and do the same thing to the back, struts, links and bushings.
