So after a wash I kept the car in my garage for two weeks, today I started it for the first time, and damn it freaked me out.

After cranking and the engine starts, for about 5-10 seconds the you can hear the individual cylinders clunking around before the engine settled back to its normal pattern...

scared the hell out of me

This is a bit unusual after only 2 weeks of sitting but, it did this because all the oil had drained down out of the bearings and valve-train and it takes a few seconds for the system to pump up with oil again. I expect this from an engine that has been torn down and reassembled. In fact this is the norm in that case. Still it is a bit unusual ofter such a short time dormant. No worries. I wager your engine is just fine.
