I gave my car a tune up not too along ago >10k. I used bosch wires and plugs and i seen a couple people say bad things about the wires. Is there any real problem. Am i losing any real power from my car? Just looking for some input. Thanks guys

I never really heard of people having issues on the Bosch wires, just the plugs. Both 2WickedToyz and BigBird this year had thier Bosch plugs take a dump. BigBird had one with cracked porcelain.

best place I found for ngk wires is sparkplugs.com. they will run you about $40.00 shipped to your door. the part number you want for the 5sfe is TE58. Just got them installed over the weekend. best place to get plugs is probably the local store. i just got some ngk g-power plugs. they are doing ok so far. i got a check engine light after installing, but its probably just loose on one of the plugs. plugs ran about 13 for all 4. not the iridium 9 but i aint racing or nothing. hope this helped.
ps.
i had some lame-o bosch plugs that came out totally wasted. i mean there was nothing there. and the wires were some off brand too. max spark or some garbage like that. needless to say one of the rubber boots from those lovely wire got stuck on top of my awesome bosch plug. i spent and hour and a half getting it out of the plug well. it was great.
If it's a Gen 4, it's better to get the double platinum plugs with two side electrodes since you have the waste spark ignition system. The plugs run about $6-8 each depending on where you get them.
The G power plugs will work, but they won't last as long. Not as much an issue compared to the V6 but it's less time you spend changing plugs
yeah the first time i bought the plugs i got single side electrodes and the car didnt have as much power i could tell something wasnt right. i looked it up and they were the wrong ones so i replaced with the double and it was back to normal =P

I had Bosch wires and plugs installed when I overhauled my engine, sorry but its all stock. Well after approximately 20k miles I developed a slight miss fire, I assumed it was a coil pack since these were original with 165k miles. Well as soon as I pulled NR 3 wire I could see it was one of my 2 problems, NR 2 wire also failed. I had to put the original wires back on just to get to the parts store where they at least replaced the set without charge. As far as Bosch plugs, never had any issues with them. 1997 Camry 2.2 Auto
These are the plugs im using in my 1mz 99 camry works great no super power out the gate difference but i can tell something is better after the install.

oh I see. hmmm I wonder if that may be the reason why I still have a code on the car,. I did not know this. thanks for the info. Sorry to hijack the thread, but what is the waste spark ignition system touring camry? pm me if you can about it. thanks!

Using a plug with a single ground should not cause anything bad. The plugs just don't last as long.
Waste spark means each plug fires twice during each 4 stroke cycle so one spark is "wasted." The car only has 2 coils and each one is connected to two plugs so the plug will fire twice during the cycle. The way the circuit is arranged, it will fire from center to side and side to center which is why the OEM plugs have platinum chips on the side and center electrodes. Since the plug fires twice as often, two side electrodes are used to prolong the service life of the plug.
Plugs that only have platinum on one electrode will erode faster than normal due to the side to center firing.
