How to Beef Up Rear Suspension on 2000 Camry/Avalon??

We love my wifes 2000 Avalon, but when we have passengers in the rear seat and luggage in the trunk the rear end sags badly.

I don't see a way to add air shocks or air bags to this car, is the only way to change the rear springs? If thats the only way, where should I get them? I don't want a rough ride but would like to add 400-500lbs of capacity.

It was suggested to ask for help here since Camry and Avalon share suspension components.

Any advice is appreciated.

the downside to beefier suspension is that its not gonna be as comfortable- lowering springs will be stiffer, but it'll be lower with minimal sag. But just as far as beefin' up the STOCK suspension- that's beyond me! .. weight reduction maybe? - clean out ur trunk and ditch the spare tire if ur just around town? .. goodluck!

the real problem is that all of the springs avalible have some sort of drop. but what you could do is look into SE stock springs from the 02-05 SE camrys. thoes are a little stiffer and would prolly help without giving any drop and should fit without any problems.
