Since I have converted my car to manual, I still haven't rewired the backup light switch because it wasn't required for our warrant of fitness. But now when I really want to rewire/ tap it, I found out that the automatic backup light switch only has 1 wire going into it, the manual one has 2 wires. Does anyone know how to tap/ bypass this to make the light work again?

one wire is hot and the other is ground. Just wire the +12v to the one wire coming from the automatic backup and the other to ground (or find a ground).

After the conversion, I tried that connection. It didn't work. i thought it was going to be a different configuration. I just got too lazy checking the switch itself. I am going to check it now. thanks anyway!
