Brake Question.... help would be apprechiated!

Hey guys,

so here is my problem. My brakes seem to be acting up. When i press on the brake pedal the brakes work fine at first but i can feel the pressure slowly leave from the pedal

for example...
lets say i come to a red light. I stop and keep my foot on the brake. i will stay at a stop for a bit but then all the brake pressure seems to go away and i start rolling forward again. I have to press down on the brake harder to stop again, basically untill the pedal is all the way to the floor.

also when i am driving sometimes the same thing happens but if i take my foot or the break (or pump it a couple times) pressure comes back untill i have a long stop or are sitting at a light, then it goes away again.

i looked at the brake fluid today and it dosent seem to be low or anything

does anyone have any idea what it might be?

Thanks a lot!

That's usually an indication of a failing brake master cylinder. It is bypassing pressure internally. I would have this looked at right away by a qualified shop. This is not something to just ignore.

Just be very cautious when driving the car this way. You may not have enough brake pressure to bring the car to a stop in a panic stop.

Maybe the booster system has something wrong (Vacuum leaks), so let the air in?

Check the front flexible lines as well. They can actually expand like a balloon for a while before breaking. You'll need someone to press the pedal as you check each one.
