bored out throttle body...what will that do?

Hi you all,

I have a V6 Camry with 4psi S/C and coming months i 'm going to install the OBX headers/Y-pipe. I have got a k&n replacement filter.
If i use a bored out throttle body, will i notice any difference?

thanks!

from what ive herd on solaraguy...no, not really. the intake setup it self would have more of an effect than doing that. now a bigger TB prolly would help a little. but im not sure which people use, prolly cuz its not necissary at only 4 psi. but again this is what ive red, ive never screwed around with my TB.

Thanks Bigbird!

I'm not using a CAI because i don't believe it will do that mutch.
Maybe this summer i will build a CAI myself......I have a hoodscoop lying around that i want to install for cooling the S/C. Maybe i can make a CAI in the scoop.....

I'm still out on a fence on this one...

I don't see the point of having a larger throttlebody unless you also overbore the intake runner of the blower/plenum as well

youd be surprised how much of a differance thinbgs liek CAI or filters make a differance when boosted.

did you ever seen my thread on solaraguy about charger cooling? i simply pulled the weather stripping down jsut behind the charger and it made a big differance in air temp around the charger at all speeds. not sure if that really translates to extra power but cooler air around the charger means a cooler charger.
