Transmission-ECM compatibilty question
I am looking at getting a 1mz-fe with vvt-i from a 2001 sienna van. The van and the ES300 (camry) I'm thinking about putting it in both have A541E Transmissions. At least according to Hollander at the junkyard. Will the Sienna ECM work with a 97 ES300 Transmission? The only reason I ask is because on some fords you have to have the correct resistance EPC solenoid when doing ECM/transmission swapsotherwise youll burn up the ecm. I would assume most of the electronics, if not all, would match up. I want to make sure before I make a move on any parts. Let me know, thanks.
