Gen 3 Camry Bug Shield / Hood Protector

Hi, I'm new to the forum here (nice joint btw!), and I have a quick question... I tried searching but didn't find much of use, but I'm looking for a good hood protector or bug shield (not a bra though) for my camry but the ones I can find on the net are labeled as "universal" and nowhere can I find a picture of them...

I just kinda want to see what one looks like mounted or unmounted before I buy one...

Right now I'm not sure where the best place to buy one is, and I was hoping at least a couple people on here might have one and know where to go to get one.

Thanks in advance!

I don't recall ever seeing a Gen 3/3.5 with a bug shield here, but I bet you could find one on Cardomain if you look hard enough!

hmm

Trying to hide a dent or rust? Bug shields are ugly. Might find a bra....they damage paint but are less ugly?? than a bug shield would be.

Git the clear 3M sheets. They can cover the bumper, headlights, hood, fenders, or what ever you want.

frenum49,

Yup, I've got a good sized dent right on the front I couldn't get out, and short of getting a new hood and repainting it, I'd like to cover it back up (I'm tired of rocks and shit ripping up my nice little spraypaint job and thus causing rust)

BamZipPow,

Thanks for the suggestion!

dz63,

ok, that doesn't look bad, where did you get yours? or what brand is it? I'll need to find one for a Gen 3 though... that Gen 3.5 probably isn't that far off shape-wise.

It is a Ventshade by Lund. Colour is "smoke". Purchased it All-Brite autoglass. Click on the link below and select year, make and model, etc. I paid $99 + taxes in 2001.

The part number that I bought was #20320/KS

here's a second one! it actually cut down on the number of rock chips i got in my windshield. Mine was GTS brand and did not cover the fenders like the one shown above on the beige gen3. it stopped at the edges of the hood. it simply snapped onto the hood - no clips, no screws, no drilling, which was nice. however, it rubbed off the paint in a few tiny spots on the bottom of the front edge, but this was trivial.

yes sometimes it's broken because my isp sucks. transition is underway to new isp. :/

Alright, thanks guys... The pictures help, I think I might just give up looking for a gen 3.0 deflector though because I still can't find one.

Thanks everyone!

[Btw, nice looking car Gibson99!]

Thanks... i kinda miss the car, but i've moved on. You don't have to have one just for gen3.0 - a 3.5 one will fit just fine since the hood didn't change between 92 and 96.

Hello, I am also looking for a rigid plastic deflector to fit a 93 camry sedan. Also found that they are available for a 95-96, but not 92-94.

I can see that maybe the hood changed, but not where the deflector would mount.

Thoughts? Thank you for your time.
