3rd Generation looking to buy and resell camry for profit

im looking at this 1994 Toyota Camry LE V6 coupe with 193K miles. the asking price is $1,900. my intentions are to fix it up a little bit and sell it for a higher price. it needs a new leather driver seat, which i can get at a junkyard. it also needs to be checked to see why the airbag and check engine lights are on. the outside looks to be in pristine condition, however. does anyone with experience in this field believe it would be worth it to go ahead with my plan?

well since its a coupe you could prolly get a little more sellin it here...we like coupes. airbag light is a common thing. youll have to take it to a dealership to get the airbad turned back on if it has actually shut off. thats a good price and im sure you could turn that for a profit. check over the engine and tranny well for leaks and fluid condition.

With that many miles, I doubt any profit you make, if any, would justify the time you put into it. But I might be wrong and you might find a very interested buyer.

its a 94 with almost 200k miles. personally i wouldn't even pay 1900 for it if i intended to keep it. I don't see any profit to be made there. I live in Michigan, so used cars are easy to find, and in michigan, after 15 winters the car is DONE (tough winters, way too much salt, and too many potholes).

I have to agree that although the car isn't that common- outside of the camry community, nobody cares if it's a coupe or not. and any car with almost 200K miles is not worth much money. And on top of that, for all you know, the srs system is malfunctioning and things need to be replaced.

as for the srs system as well- that can be reset yourself by jumping terminals in the engine bay. if you really want to do it, do a search and you'll find the instructions
