4th Generation Metal dashboard/stereo bezel retainer clips?

Hey

I removed the black bezel trim that borders the stereo, climate control, and cigarette lighter/ashtray to replace the head unit, and 2 of the metal retaining clips broke and another one might be cracked. I've seen the generic plastic pop-in clips for other panels at auto parts stores, but never the metal ones that I broke. I called the local Toyota dealer and they said the clips come attached to the bezel, so I'd need to buy a new one for 45 bucks.

Is there any way to get just the clips, or something similar enough to hold on the bezel? Otherwise would it be possible to buy some very thin sheet metal and cut/bend my own? 45 bucks is a bit steep for a couple clips.

If anyone thinks they can help but doesn't know what clips I'm talking about I could take a picture tomorrow and upload it.

Thanks.

EDIT: My Camry is a 98 LE, but I think all the Gen 4 bezels are the same.

With a little ingenuity, you could probably cook something up. My dealer wanted $26. Check out ebay...about $15.

If you search ebay, the keywords to find it are "camry stereo trim"

Check your local auto parts stores, I don't know about the stores you have, but I know that a local store here has an entire 300+ page catalog of different clips and fasteners to order, most of which are in stock.

I would head over to the local bone yard and grab a couple off of a junker. They may even let you have them.

Glue it back on. It worked great for me. I broke one clip and cracked another. Slapped some rubber cement on there, and reinforced it with a paper clip (ha)

Works great.

Is this work?
Rocker Clips

I think the shape is similar, but this one is made by Nylon,
and I'm not sure about the size, my 2 clips were gone for a very long time.
