3rd & 4th Generation (1992–1996 & 1997–2001)Toyota Camry Discussion for years: 1992-1996 & 1997-2001
Topics of discussion range from fuel economy, safety, modifications, performance all involving America's favorite family car, the Toyota Camry.
They aren't made anymore. From what I know, there were only 15 CF trunks ever made. If that's true, then I may have bought the last "new" (never installed) one in the world.
here it is on my car...
Keep an eye out though. Some day someone will put a CF trunk up for sale, just don't expect that to happen any time soon.
And, no I never will, sorry...

Mine was Nate's... and before that I think it was allen's... and now it belongs to George. I think I sold it for like $700 shipped or something, but the market value has come down now that there are almost no camry people left with money
anyone wanna help me on finding a carbon fiber trunk and how much they r, thanks
you could always just buy a huge roll of mock-carbon fiber vinyl and slap that on the trunk if youre just going for the look. IMO, this is the cheap way out and it probably won't look as good as the real deal.

Not to pee on your guys parade, but if no groupbuy was done besides the original ones that were made, there were only like 8-10 of us. I may part with mine soon enough, but I doubt it.
AND just to pour some vinegar in the wounds of those who don't have it, they're SEXY. They weigh like 8 pounds too. It's ridiculous.

meh. cf on our cars are not the best use of money. hell, I have a cf hood and well....I can't wait to get it painted over. I save a bit of weight, but it's pretty much negligible on the most part. especially since I carry more useless weight on purpose regardless - i.e. system, tools, etc etc
but for the people who want and like the look of CF, getting your trunk wrapped in CF is a pretty good and cheap alternative. A good wrap will make telling the difference between a real cf trunk and a wrapped trunk almost indistinguishable- except for the weight difference of course.
