cup holders

As the Gen 3 was engineered for the smokers of the 1990's as it seems, our rear seats have a "convient" [sarcasm] ashtray. I know the gen 4's console has a cup holder for the rear passengers, but to swap the consoles would be a bit of work, and rather imposible for mine as i have the blue interior. So i was wondering if anyone rigged anything up for the rear console, making a cup holder for the rear. I was thinking of buying one of the cup holders you can attach, off of ebay or an auto store. Then, securly rigging it to the rear part of the console [possibly where the ashtray is now] with out it being too ghetto.

Anyone try? Suggestions?

Somebody, sorry I forgot who, swapped the gen 4 console and lid into their gen 3. Required parts are console, lid, cup holders, and ebrake assembly. Relatively easy

Take shopping trip to pepboy or autozone. They got a bunch of add-on accessories that will universal fit any car.
