will 93 transmission interchange into a 97 camry, same engine?

I've got a wrecked 93 camry with a newly rebuilt transmission. Well I found a nice camry with a bad trans, so I was wondering if the trans would interchange with both being 4 cyl. I'm not for sure bc the 97 changed its body style but I dont know if they actually changed any of the drivetrain.

Thanks for any help.

if they're both the 5s-fe engine (4cyl) then they should both have the same transmission. the A140E transaxle, if i remember correctly. it should bolt right up, but i'd wait for someone with more experience to respond.

***be sure to save the engine mounts from the 1997! theyre A LOT better than the 92-96 mounts.
