But seriously, the ECT, or Electronically Controlled Transmission button, when switched on, causes your automatic transmission to shift at higher RPMs, which works well when you want to get into the gear that will provide you with the most power given your situation (useful when passing on the freeway)

^ hes asking about the ECT/PWR button on the gen3, not to be confused with the O/D button on the shifter itself. the gen4 never had the PWR feature.
