Those switches get dirty and perhaps corroded with time. My rear door switches were doing that for quite a while. Just take them out and hose them down with WD-40 or some contact cleaner. To get one out, fold back the rubber bootie and remove the one screw holding it in. Spray it liberally while pushing the switch in & out. Clean the screw too, because it acts as the grounding for the electrical circuit.
