4th Generation Need advice: 94 ES300 15 wheels on 99 I4 Camry

Hoping someone with more experience can help me. Does it make sense to replace the stock 14" alloy wheels on my 99 I4 Camry with 15" wheels from a 94 ES300? I am at the point where I need new tires. This is a daily driver, no mods of any kind. Is going from 14" to 15" wheels considered an upgrade in terms of ride/handling or is it just an ascetics thing? Finally are these wheels a direct swap replacement or will I need other accessories?

Thanks in advance to the patient souls who will take the time to answer these question.

Upgrading the size of your wheels could be considered as upgrade, but it depends who you are talking to

In terms of handling/ridability the wheels have very little effect other than their given weight, that's all dependent on the tires.

The stock es300 comes with 205/60/15's so that should make the wheels close to 15x7's, I think, which SHOULD fit onto your car no problem.

What I would do first is look at your local craigslist, e-bay, etc to find someone selling these wheels. Fit one on the rear wheel and if the tire clears the strut and does not bump, you're in business!

And yes it makes sense! Rims can define the look of the car so any upgrade is good

15" tire should have less tire flex, so you will have tighter suspension response.
14" rim usually weighs less than 15" rim.

The advantage is minimal, 14" tires are usually less expensive.

The 94 ES wheels will fit without clearance problems.
