99 Camry 340 Camshaft Code

Hey, i am getting a P0340. I reset the light, it came back after a short drive. I did a quick wiring test, it seems good, tight connection, the sensor has a 1210 OHM reading (the engine warm). I cleaned the sensor, and retighted it, reset and still I am getting a light. Reversing the wires makes the CEL come on right away. I do not have a scope and I am pretty sure the ECU is good. Should I replace the camshaft wheel as it says in the service manual, or the sensor? The sensor is within spec, but I want to change it, because it seems the easiest thing to do!

Can you get a junkyard pull of the sensor? I'm normally not a fan of shotgunning parts, but it's an easy sensor to change out if you can do it cheaply.

I am not a fan at all either at just trying Parts. Working for Toyota, I saw these technicians are really famous shotgunning parts from the Part dept. and trying stuff out. Can you tell me a Junk yard that sells this sensor? Cuz Junkyard in Canada do not sell sensors or warranty them (when I call a few of them). I am thinking of getting "Standard" CPS from my parts person, thats not OEM (denso), so should I worry about quality here?
