Question i4 auto to V6 manual Swap!!!

Hey TN,

I've got a couple of questions about putting a V6 manual transmission on a 5SFE,

1. Do I have to get the pressure plate, flywheel, and clutch off of a 5sfe manual?

2. Does anybody know if the pedal off of a 00 Solara V6 is the same as a pedal for my 99 camry

I guess if there is anything else let me know, THANKS

yes sir u can' the trans that goes into the 1mz is almost identical to the one that goes into a boosted mr2 main differences what side the shifter linkage is facing for mr2's they face front since its a MID rear engine, and for camry's or solara's its rear since we are front wheel drive

shoot richierich a pm since he was going to do the same thing

I believe it was a 1mz flywheel with a custom bolt pattern for the 5sfe and a custom clutch

went to my fav Toyota dealer, so we compared parts from the camry i4 manual and the solara v6 and as I thought things like shifter cables, axles are different only because they are shorter, and the flywheel is also something that doesn't match up between the motors but the pedals, clutch master and slave are the same, spindles are the same a whole buncha stuff, getting all this stuff in is the easy part. I have to worry about the check engine light that I have on when the connectors are disconnected from the auto trans
