Well it seems as though nobody on the audio forum is willing to help, so I'm asking you gen3 guys.
I'm having problems with my antenna not staying up. When it's not up my amps don't work, which means I have no sound. If I tap on the headunit it will come back up sometimes. It seems like it only has this issue during the warm seasons, which makes me think it could be a bad solder. The headunit is a pioneer deh-p3100. The car did not come equiped with the premium system, so there is no factory amp to bypass. Any of you other gen3 guys have problems like this with your aftermarket headunits

Sounds to me like there's a problem with voltage getting from the head unit to the amps and the antenna, signaling them to turn on. Could be the head unit itself, or the wiring going to those two devices. I'd check the wires going to them. Both of them failing is a clue; I doubt the head unit would fail in two ways at the same time.

Well I checked radio out and all the soldering and connections on the headunit and the amps. So I'm stumped
