4th Generation check engine light help!

Hey, I have a 1997 Camry, 4Cyl., in good shape, 148,000 miles. The check engine light came on, so I took it into Goodyear. They said the computer said emissions control duct??? does this make sense? It's been losing some coolant, but I thought that might be water pump.
They reset the light, it came back on a week later after having been driven all week.
Any ideas what I should have them check at the mechanics??
Thanks for any help..

The description doesn't match up with any diagnostic I'm familar with. Any idea what the exact code (Pxxxx) was?

BTW, other than a couple of temperature sensors, there isn't a lot in the cooling system that will trigger a check engine light. If you're losing coolant, that's probably worth tracking down.

Thanks for responding. I'll try to get the code from the guy at Goodyear. I was out of town and a friend took it in so that's why I don't have the info.
The coolant thing is a mystery. I had someone earlier this year talk about the water pump maybe being the culprit, I don't think it's been changed for many years - but when I had the timing belt replaced about 6,000 miles ago, noone explained it was best to do the pump then!!
Also, the coolant doesn't always go down, just every once in a while.
I will get the code and write again if you wouldn't mind. I appreciate the help as I don't know a heck of a lot about all this!

Thanks for writing. I'll have them check that. I know very little about all this -- so every little bit helps!
