3rd & 4th Generation (1992–1996 & 1997–2001)Toyota Camry Discussion for years: 1992-1996 & 1997-2001
Topics of discussion range from fuel economy, safety, modifications, performance all involving America's favorite family car, the Toyota Camry.
I prefer 34 in the rear and 32 in the front, it seams to give the car a more balanced feeling, not that camrys are at all balanced. My rear tires do wear a bit round though.
32-34 lbs cold is pretty normal. I used to run about 35 cold and would always wear the center tread quicker than the outside treads. I have a pressure monitors on my vehicle now and I try to find a cold temp that will give me no more than 37-39 lbs when hot. Of course they heat more in the summer than in the winter so my cold pressure in winter is slightly higher than summer.
Edit: Once I learned just how much pressures increase with heat from driving, and I adjusted accordingly, the tire wear is much more even. The car manufacture's numbers are what you should go by (normal driving) and any large variance will usually cause poor tire wear.
No matter what the tire says - you inflate according to the vehicle.
Tires are the Same on any vehicle but each vehicle has different specs and weight.
For those of you wearing out in the middle - you're over inflating
For those wearing out on the outside - it's under inflated....or you can some alignment issues
