4th Generation Few questions

I just bought a 2001 Camry LE recently, 127,000 miles. My first Camry, before this I was a neon person, now it's neon+ Camry. The ride is so nice compared to my 2005 Neon even, it is quite a treat.

I have a few questions:
  1. The car has an after market KARR alarm installed, and the remote it came with, only the arm/disarm button works, the panic and trunk buttons do not. Is there a way to make those buttons work? Failing that, is there a way to remove the alarm completely and just use a normal Toyota key less remote?
  2. I did a lot of searching, but couldn't find a definite answer for the 00-01 models, is is possible to swap out the manual climate controls with the push button one, or does it require more than just the controls (thus making it not doable)?
  3. The AC blows moderately cold when driving around town, but when I get up to 65-75 MPH on the highway, the speed of the air goes up (like it is being forced in by the speed) and it seems to blow much colder, and adjusting the temperature doesn't do anything until I hit the HOT side of the temperature selector. Is this a freon issue, or do I need to replace the climate controls?
  4. Is there any maintenance issues I need to be aware of post 130,000 miles?

Thanks!

1. Aftermarket alrms are a pain to work with if they have no manual or support. Try Google, I did, not much luck. Probably just be happy it works and doesn't fiddle with your car.

2. I am not 100% sure, but I doubt the connections are there for the ECC. Just stick with the manual turn style.

3. I'm no help with this one, but freon is not an issue in this case.

4. Change the timing belt if you have not done so.
