3rd & 4th Generation (1992–1996 & 1997–2001)Toyota Camry Discussion for years: 1992-1996 & 1997-2001
Topics of discussion range from fuel economy, safety, modifications, performance all involving America's favorite family car, the Toyota Camry.
Serious about buying supercharger, Woudlnt post if wasnt. Been saving for a while always wanted this done, My camry basicly has 70,000kms on it, No visible rust, barely any under the car, Currently going thru the process of changing everything from brake system to shocks to everything basicly.
all youll really need to do if ya stay at 4psi is upgrade the fuel pump(190 or 255) and relocate your knock sensor(s). as far as install goes, its relativily easy. but the first time takes a while.
however...a word of advice. having a 4spi auto gen3 is fun but its jsut the same car but a little faster. for the same(or less) money you can do a manual swap and COMPLETLY change the dynamics of the car. if i were able to do it, id sell my charger and swap in a manual. not sure anyone has tested it but many think the V6 5 speed is as fast as the SCed V6 auto @ 4psi. i love the chardger but its just somthing to consider.
thats how it comes from TRD, with the 4psi pullie. thats about 230hp over the stock 188 on the gen3s. but 3k would be a little much for me to pay for an SC. most sell for 2000-2500.
