what year car do you have? IIRC, i think it was the 92-94ish cars had servicable shocks with which thoes would work with but if they are sealed struts then you can either get servicable shocks from a junked car or send them back and get the full tokico shocks.

and this thread should be stickied for proof that sprints + OEM = failure.

if you guys are thinking about running springs

how do we know if its insert or not???

i checked my, and it looked like the one imported posted....

when i got the strut off everything came off like that...nothing else comes off, so i would guess that i would have to buy the whole strut and not the insert???

ive seen this happen too, some cars that were claimed to have servicable struts...dont...it may have to do with where they are made.

but yeah, if they are not servicable...then liek i said...try to find servicable struts on a junkyard car so you can use the inserts or just get full strut/shock combo.

just an update, in the year range of 92-94 there are some camrys that come with a "sealed strut" or "serviceable". the one i have is "sealed" therefore i have to use kyb gr-2's that come with the spring mount.

the only folks that can use the tokicos are people with "serviceable" struts meaning just the cartridge can be replaced..
