99 Camry tail lights do not wrok??

I have a 99 Camry, and the tail lights do not work. In the past I would leave the lights in the - position for them to turn on / off automatically. When it would get dark, I would hear a relay change state, and my dashboard lights would come on, and the tail lights would come on as well. Then one day the relay stopped clicking, and the dashboard lights stopped workind, then I found out that the tail lights are off as well.
I checked all of the fuses, and all seem to be fine. Under the hood, and under the change holder too.
I do not have a schematic, so I am not sure how the relay crcuit works. I am sure that there is a light sensor, and a relay for this circuit. I am not sure where to locate them.
If someone can provide me with a schematic, I can sniff out the problem. Also, any clues would be greatly appreciated as well.

The light sensor should be located on the dash beside the windshield defog vent on the passenger side. Looks like a small dome of plastic. I am not sure about the wiring though. Hope that helps.

if you still can turn them off and on, then you should be fine.
i liked the fact that my lights turned on automatically.
but i've rigged my lights so i have to turn them on my self.
i actually like it alot better.
but as for the light sensor it is on the passenger side,
and a hayness manual really doesn't show a picture either,
unless you are an electrician ha ha
