Lexus GS (JZS160) wheel on Gen 4.

I've got a set of 17x8 with 235/45/17 off my old GS400, it fits on my dad's gen 5 with no problem, but last weekend when I tried to fit it on my wife's gen 4, the front fits well, but the rear was touching the strut assembly.

I've searched and couldn't find anything, is this combo simply too wide for the car? is the offset too high for the rear? or I'll only need spacers at the rear to get it fit right?

thx in advance

that's a bugger, I was thinking with sway bars + the tires, since they are RE030, it'll handle pretty good.

OP, I'm running that exact combo on my gen3 and it does fit. You need to roll your rear fenders and use 15mm spacers in the rear. In front, use 5mm spacers if you've got 4 cyl brakes. V6 brakes should just clear, also you may need to hammer in your l/f fenderwell to prevent tire rub at full left turn lock. ( BIG hammer! )

Hope this helps, this is for gen3, don't know how much different gen4 is.
