I really do not understand what your asking. You got one from the junkyard and want to see the mileage before you install it into your car?

I work at a junkyard and want to know how to test the mileage without the instrument cluster in the car. I should be able to use a 12 volt source, but don't know where to connect the tester wires onto the instrument cluster to get the mileage. I heard it was possible, but I'm not completely sure.

Hmmmm.........I;m sure there is a way, but I'm not good with wiring.

I have the factory wiring diagram in PDF if you want me to email it. But you better be good at reading wiring diagrams, haha.

Just remove the old one and hook up the new one, it's very easy, two screws to remove the cover, then pull the cover, remove 4 screws around the odometer and that's it. I think there is a DIY...

Thanks El Tano for the thread. That was a little helpful.

ASG14, if you wouldn't mind emailing me that wiring diagram I can see what pins exactly that I need to hook up to a 12v source. Email me at crabe1981@gmail.com

Thanks for the help everyone.
