Canada 92 brake help needed WHAT S THIS ?

Hello
I have a 92 w/ all wheel disc brakes
I have developed a fluid leah and it is in a line that is over the rear weldment between wheels
There is a piece i am trying to identify
It has many lines coming and going
It has a link wth a sprng that is attached to a suspension part
This piece perhaps lmits the pressure under heavy brakng to the rear brakes

I would like to change out this part and all the lines going to it as it seem shotty
However what is it called and what is its purpose

Thanks
Jay

OK I figured it out

**rear brake load sensing proportioning valve **

However
Is there a cheaper alternative to replacing this part
Can it be bypassed with a multi port block or something
Let me know if you have any ideas please

Thanks

Local toyota dealer in ontario canada quoted me 59.05 on the sensing prop valve
the lines were pricy
37-89 $ ea (4 ttl)
He mentioned most people bypass the valve but did not disclose with what ?
Anyone know what to use to bypass the valve with

Jay

Years ago I had a 75 rabbit that had this device, under heavy braking the nose of the car dives and the rear lifts, the valve lessens rear brake pressure by measuring the angle of the rear suspension (the amount of rear end lift). If you defeat it your rear wheels are more apt to lock and burn rubber taking the rear tire(s) out of round ... unless yours has an ABS system too?

Fixing the valve problem might be cheaper than replacing damaged tires.
