Question Welcome and Question

Just joined today. I just got a 1996 Camry LE with only 55,000 miles on it!! I got it from an 82 year old lady for $2750. It honestly has no problems and it has been very well taken care of!! With that said, it's time for me to tear it apart (for a new stereo and alarm/remote start). I have searched and searched and cannot find the depth for the front speakers!! Does anyone know OR if you can figure out the model of speakers you used in a replacement that will tell me a depth that will fit. I already know that i need to use an adapter to fit 6.5" speakers.

Another question while i am at it, I know that some cars need interfaces to bypass starting the car without a key but i cant find info on that for a 1996. I am guessing it doesnt have any kind of immobilized system or transponders in the key so I shouldnt need a bypass for the remote start right? If anyone out there has done a rem. start, let me know!! So far the car is pretty great!! Anything cool i should know about the car that i might not?

So far the only thing I am unhappy with is the cup holders...they dont fit anything!! Anyone out there done anything about this? Thanks for the help in advance!!

The front speakers ARE 6.5", so no adapter is needed. I replaced my wife's front speakers in her LE with 6.5" Pioneers. Not sure of the model# though. There really is plenty of room right there.

I have Boston Acoustic SX-60 6.5'' components installed. They come with everything you need and they fit perfectly and sound great....i mounted the tweeters on the plastic by the side mirrors.
