so hear is the thing.. my car needs a new trany and i was going to get one from a pick a part. i have ah general idea of how to drop it and get it out.. but i would like someone to reinforce my general idea of how to drop one at a pick ah part.. what would be the best way to do it. what type of tools will be essential.

anybody want to come with me to help out lol

Think it would be easier to pull the motor/tranny as one, then separate the two after the unit is out.

That's what Haynes suggests. At least no need to be under the car at the junkyard.

I've seen people in the junkyard flip the car sideways/upside down; then remove the transmission

That would definitely work, but wonder what the salvage yard would say about body components damaged during the roll?
