Is the arm stripped do i need linkage or just the arm? I am a newbie

Does it move at all?

Sometimes, and if your lucky maybe the bolt on the base just worked its way loose!

unbolt it. pull it out and push it back in as far as it can go. while its out, look if its stripped.
