did you short out the car by either touching the (+) and (-) together or hooking the (+) and (-) cables on wrong?

Did this no start condition happen immediately after installing the new battery, or did it start fine for a few days and did you then get this problem?

Check for loosen cable. Dirty metal surface due to oxidizing can also be a problem. U can either clean it out with vinegar or coke.

3rd Generation

Or use baking soda!

BUT check for shorts first. Any smelly cables that look fried are good indicators

Well here is wat happened we left the car at my aunts house and we tried to start it but the battery was dead and we had to move it. so we left and found out later that they got it started after awhile and moved it to the street so we baught a new battery and i hooked it up but the alarm didnt go off so i tried to start it and all i get is lights in the dash and it sounds like one of the turn signals is on but it isnt just the clickin noise. so im wondering if whoever got it started crossed the cables and shorted sumthing out and now it wont start.

Maybe the alarm brain fried and has the starter wire disconnect stuck on. Try pulling the fuse on that.
