How to Change stock cassette deck of 1994 Camry

Hello, I have just purchased a 1994 Toyota Camry XLE V6 and the stock cassette deck is not working. The radio is not working either. The person I bought it from said I just gotta change the deck. Now I am willing to do that but how exactly do I remove it and plug in a new deck? I am thinking of simply installing an ipod deck for my ipod touch. I am not going to change the speakers or anything else. Can anyone give me instructions in words or even pictures relating to how exactly I can remove the stock deck, and install a new deck?

That is the picture of my cassette deck at the moment. Hope it helps

Thanks a lot for your time!

The U shape plastic cover with light cig can be snap off with flat head screw driver. The metal frame which hold the headunit in place has 4 philip head screws on each corner. Everything after that is just common sense. You however have to figure out the installation as aftermarket headunit are universal designed and come in different shape, connectors sometimes need to be split and cut ...

I suggest u start off by checking the radio fuse.

It's an easy install...

Pay special attention to the part on page 3 regarding which connectors to use.

Thanks a lot guys, I now know how to install my own deck. There is just one problem that I didnt mention before, the stock radio does not turn on or do anything. I dont know if this is related to the problem, but all power features in the car are fully working (windows, sunroof, locks, etc) but the stock radio doesnt even turn on. Do you guys think its just the stock deck? or is it an electrical problem? If I install new deck, will it actually work?

Thanks a lot for the help.

I believe that it's in the fuse box in the driver kick panel. Once you remove the panel, there should be a diagram telling you which fuse is what.

If someone can get a picture of the kick panel of my car, along with the radio fuse, that would be greatly appreciated.

Okay I found the fuse box and there is a 15A fuse in the radio/cig slot. I checked on the diagram sticker attatched to the coin tray and it is the correct type of fuse that is in the slot but the radio is not turning on. What might the problem be? Also when I open my car doors, the interior roof lights do not turn on. Where can I find the fuse slot for those? And if it isnt the fuse, how can I pop the light covers off to see if its the bulb?
