3rd & 4th Generation (1992–1996 & 1997–2001)Toyota Camry Discussion for years: 1992-1996 & 1997-2001
Topics of discussion range from fuel economy, safety, modifications, performance all involving America's favorite family car, the Toyota Camry.
I am looking around for an in-dash CD Player that will fit into my 1992 Toyota Camry LE (4-Cylinder). I really need to find one because I am tired of the stock cassette player deck. Can anyone tell me the brand and model of the CD player that they use in their '92 camry? Thanks in advance.
Clarion DXZ375MP. I put it on my 95, but they are all the same, it should fit... If you are going for a new headunit, throw in a bit more money for a decent set of speakers all around. Beware of the rears thought, do your research before opening up.

Any single DIN or double DIN deck will fit. Single DIN if you want to keep the storage pocket. Double DIN if you don't.
Go to Crutchfield.com and use their "Outfit My Car" feature on the Car Audio & Video menu. It'll show you a bunch of decks and speakers that will fit your car.
You might be able to find one of these units on ebay. I believe it was the mating 3 disc cd changer that was made to work with your OEM radio. If you could find one, it's basically plug and play with your existing radio. This would give you the ability to play both the cassettes you have now and also cd's and keep the factory look.
Let me correct myself. The L4200 was the correct cd changer when your car was new. I have this unit in my 94 Camry and it works great. I believe either the L4200 or the L4201 will work with your car, but I'm not postive of that.

I'm looking to install a stereo/cd player in my 93 and it appears three suggested Pioneer DEH-P4000UB, Kenwood KDC-138, and Panasonic CQ-C8303U might do the trick. I want to leave the stock speakers and I am not looking to sink a lot of money in a stereo system. I listen to Eric Clapton, Jet, Pearl Jam... and I don't need any "THUMP" producing electronics in my car.
Will I need to install special brackets in order to put in one of these stereo's?
