RIP my Gen 3... tranny gave up the ghost yesterday - any parts to scab?

I don't think it's worth it to get it fixed at this point. It also needs valve guides, smokes a lot on start up.

So, what should I take out before it goes to the junker? anything you can think of?

thanks for the advice.

now, to find a great Gen 3 wagon... that would be sweet!

3rd Generation

Keep it and part it out.

Just keep the wheels and axles so it can be towed away, the rest part out on here and I bet you'll make decent moola

Unless you have some lil hotshot that you can sell the car cheap to and tell them to buy a new tranny... that might be an option too mate.

Ok, who wants what?

It has a tan/beige leather interior. Front seat bottoms were recovered 3 years ago and are nice. Power driver seat works perfectly.

Engine has issues. Exhaust was COMPLETELY replace 3 years ago, from head to end. New radiator last summer. New rear windshield a couple years back. Lenses are all good.

I would rather sell the whole thing if you are in the Boston area.....

later
